I am 15 and in 10th grade. I have always been on cheer and have had a lot of skinny friends. But- I'v always been the fat friend . As the years went by, I couldn't take it any longer. The worst was when guys would come up to my friends and say " do you want to dance "They would say yeah but get someone for my friend they would look at me and say do you have anyone else? I really couldn't blame them . I was always so embarrassed. I'm 5'3 and very heavy . . If I hear one more time her face is beautiful but she's too big. My self confidence was shot and nothing I could do would work. The ins turned me down the first time because of my age . My parents changed ins companies and then I was approved. so may 23 it was done and for the first time I'm not hungry . If I get hungry I eat some turkey a meatball or some chicken and i'm good. I'm down 30 pounds in 4 weeks. 5pds before surgery and 25 in the last 3 weeks . Then today a really hot looking boy in school and his friend invited me and my friend to go to the movies. I'm so excited!! I also can't wait for the day that I won't be the fat friend and I'll be able to cross my legs !! I can't wait to see what happens next month!!

You are definitely the youngest one that I have heard about. I hope that works out really, really well for you. I only wish that I had done this sooner and you actually have that opportunity. Best of luck!

My daughter is almost 15. My niece is 15. I am a teacher and have taught hundreds of 15 year-olds. Many of you think you know everything and do not like to listen to authority or follow "rules". This is why surgery is not performed on people as young as you.

Please realize you have to follow the rules for your surgery for LIFE! Your hunger will probably return. You will be able to eat more as time goes by. Getting to goal weight and staying there is hard, hard work.

This cannot be just to find a boyfriend. Learn to love yourself as-is, every step of the way. You deserve to be happy and healthy. I hope you are working with a therapist.

I wish you the best.
