Parmesean Egg Crisps-

Just came across one of those food how to videos on Facebook for Parmesean Egg Crisps. The stats on these are really good, no carb, and turn out like crunchy crackers. I have not made them yet (about to) but thought I would share. The recipe did not specify how much total parmesean, so I entered 1 TBS grated into MFP to generate the stats. I also entered in only 1 serving = to 1 cracker to simplify things, but here are the stats on the entire batch- we would not sit down and eat the whole batch.

Stats: Cal- 89, carbs- 1 sugar-1(no added), 22g protein, 2 fat, 0 fiber

1 cracker is 3-4 calories

Recipe with video:

4 egg whites

1/2 tsp water

pinch of salt and garlic powder

1 TBS Parmesan cheese

Mix whites, water, salt, garli****il slightly fluffy. Evenly distribute this into mini muffin pans, ensuring there is enough to cover the bottom of each pan. I did 1/2 TBS per spot and it worked out perfect. Sprinkle a pinch of parm for each cracker. Bake 15 minutes or until crunchy at 400F. Remove from oven and allow to cool for a few minutes.

*Not sure if there is such a thing as "light" parmesean cheese. Recipe states you can use any cheese of choice though. My first attempt did not come out crunchy, but still tasty.

Edited the recipe after you saw it- it takes a lot less parm than I first though. Lowered the cals as a result :)

I buy these from Costco for I think $8 or $9 per bag:

Sounds a lot like that recipe. The only ingredient is parmesan cheese. So nice to have something with a little crunch with no carbs!
