So I had my apt today to tell me if I'm cleared and when I'm scheduled. Couldn't schedule me because of something going on at the hospital. They say it will still be in Oct. and I'm completely cleared, just have to wait a few more weeks before they will know.
I had a set back. I was approved. Went to surgeon thinking I was getting my date, and was told I have to show 30 day compliance with my CPAP. True bummer, but we'll get there!
Apnea is a big concern with anesthesia. My sleep study was borderline and the sleep team recommended a mouth appliance but the bariatric surgeon insisted I use the cpap for a few weeks before surgery.
Sorry for the delay. That's hard when you're all ready. Use this time to get in lots of water and practice chewing everything really well. Time will go fast and you'll be post op before you know it.
