its time to get me that food scale! I don't fully trust my eyes.

Is there one, not too expensive, that can communicate with MFP?

I know there are people scales that do that, but not a food scale. Still, it wouldn't surprise me. I use this one.

You can't carry the scale everywhere you go, so my best guage was a deck of cards. It's about the size a 4oz serving should be.

You may want to consider pre-planning your day or go to a restaurant, so a scale that syns-up to myfp wouldn't be necessary.

Your arsenal should include a food scale (any kind will do), a set of measuring cups & a set of measuring spoons. When home use them all the time! When you're out, there are a number of hacks online for judging portion sizes & you'll learn to listen to your sleeve.

I have 2. Food scales. One in the kitchen that weighs up to 11 pounds and switches between lbs/oz, fl oz, ml, and grams. The other is a small one about the size of a smartphone that weighs up to 11 oz that I carry in my purse and use at restaurants, etc. I got them both on Amazon for around $10 each:

I don't think that there is a scale that would do that ... I just used a digital one from walmart and input everything by hand. After a few months of doing that I noticed I tended to eat the same things over and over in the same amounts. So I sat down and studied it ... what meals did I eat that were higher in calories and what things were lower.

If you fall down you just have to get back up.

I don't believe there are any wifi/bluetooth food scales on the market. If there are, I don't believe MFP has the technical capability of communicating with something like that.

Hi, I'm very glad that you decided to take such an important step as losing weight. At one time, I gained a lot of weight and decided to lose weight at one point. My friend gave me advice to buy a food scale to keep track of the portions and the amount of food I consume. I was skeptical because I thought I could keep track of the amount of food I consumed myself, but nothing changed and I didn't lose weight. As a result, I found a cool watch here https://www.amazon.com/Vont-Beautiful-Measurement-Stainless-Batteries/dp/B08SW6F5SZ and my life changed. I learned how to distribute portions of food so that I ate five times a day. In addition, I started playing sports and after half a year I put myself in great physical shape. I wish you to achieve the same success. Good luck!
