When the **** hits the fan

Greetings all,

It has been a while since I have posted. Apologies for that, as up until the last few months I made an effort to read a few times a week and offer support where applicable. Posting today with a warning for our newer sleeved friends. Life happens. Sometimes bad things happen- really bad. Don't let that be an excuse to derail you. In the last 3 weeks my house has burned down, my husband lost his job, and my cancer has returned. That is a lot on a plate so that means only that I have to be a little extra careful to not eat my emotions. Since vsg, there have been deaths of close loved ones and other hiccups in the road. At the end of all this, the best way you can help yourself navigate life's challenges is to keep yourself nourished correctly, maintain your physical health, be sure to get your rest and the even the larger bumps n the road will work itself out. Be patient and gentle with yourself, but also keep yourself on track.

Stay strong. You're in my thoughts. I lost everything in a fire several years ago. I can only imagine what you are going through. Practice good self-care.

Hugs and balloons of strength to you from all of us. Goodness, that's a heavy load to carry in such a short time. I'm so sorry.

Words seem awkward right now but please know that I've been a long time fan of yours and your journey and know the deep strength and resilience you have. And I'm sending all the positive thoughts and good vibes I can right now. Thank you for reaching out and sharing in this difficult time and know that I (and everyone here) are rooting for you and your family.

Oh my gosh, that's awful :( I am so sorry you and your family are going through this.

I have no words of wisdom or advice, but I am sending much love and many good wishes.

I follow a ketogenic diet post-op. I also have a diagnosis of binge eating disorder. Feel free to ask me about either!

I'm so sorry for all you're faced with. Just one of those things could derail the strongest of people. That you are taking care of yourself through all three is a great example to those of us dealing with far, far less. I hope your burdens lessen soon.
