Thank you! I'll keep at it. I just get so confused by everything and I thought maybe I was having too many proteins or fats etc. but I'll just keep trying to be successful!!

Thank you again!

Honestly, 1lb per week at 10 months out is a pretty normal loss rate.

I'm thankful to be losing anything but I was trying to increase it.

As Jen said, We eat pretty close to Keto anyway. Personally I tried and I couldn't handle the fats that high... it made me sick. 50% fat very doable occasionally up to 60% plus out protein requirements are higher than traditional Keto.

I think their recipes and things work great for us.

I have been Keto since 5.5 months after surgery. If you commit to keto and do it right, you will lose great. However, I don't recommend it for a temporary diet change just to lose more weight. I say this because if you stop eating keto and add back in a bunch of carbs, you'll gain weight.

I have permanently changed my way of eating to Ketogenic, so it works for me. As the other said, it sounds like you're doing the right things, and at 10 months post surgery, a pound a week is great. Keep on keeping on, and you'll get there. Make sure you are eating now the way you want to eat the rest of your life, and make those permanent changes. You're doing terrific!

Thank you so much. I have been doing Keto and do enjoy it. I love the way I feel. My husband even enjoys it with me so of course it's always welcome to have someone to do the same. I use the Senza app to track and it gave me daily recommendations for fats/carbs/proteins but of course that's no different with me having WLS. What do you go by? I think once I learn how to do that (count what I'm supposed to have) it'll make me 100% successful. I've literally made everything in our kitchen/pantry keto approved so I'm definitely not looking to stop it. It's for life.

Thank you for reaching out to me!!

I use the Baritastic App, have since the beginning. I try to stick to my daily ratios of 70% fat, 25% protein, and 5% carbs. Depending on the day I range from 1200-1700 calories, but tend to average around 1300 most days as I am still losing and have just a few more pounds to reach my ultimate goal!

And you are most welcome! Keto on!!

I am 8 years out from VSG and my body really likes being on a Keto lifestyle. During the 8 years if I wasn't doing keto and stalled, I would switch back to keto and my stall would break. I have a lot more energy too when I eat this way.

I'm not a doctor, but I also know that the diet the doctors tried putting me on really weren't helping me. I decided to give Keto a shot and I'm happy I did.

Thank you so much for sharing. I do like doing keto as I truly feel better. I use the Senza app to track and keep up. Do you go by the recommended fats/carbs/proteins or do you alter them? This is why I'm so confused because I'm not certain if I'm doing this right for someone who's been sleeved.

Thank you again!
