Good morning! I am home! Yay! Vacation was awesome, and I'm thrilled that I only gained 3.5 pounds. I was expecting something closer to 10 considering all of the marzipan I ate. It was super fun times and I'll be spending the next few days recombobulating my life.. and doing INELDA training. Back to the busy busy.

QOTD: Wow. 2008. Lance and I were finishing up our time as a long distance couple and getting ready for his move from FL to MD. Art had recently gotten his dream job. We renovated the laundry room, since we still had money. And I was an SMO homemaker with no great aspirations beyond that.

1: scrambled eggs with cheese and salsa (Art neglected to buy me a jug of almond milk, even though it was on his list, so I wasn't able to have a shake. Grumble.)
2: protein shake (since I'll be going out and buying almond milk)
3: sous vide steaks, roasted veg (specific veg will depend on what looks good at the store), rice for the guys

liquid and vites: probably skipped today, since I need to set up my next two weeks of pills and it seems unlikely I'll do that until later
exercise: nope!

What a great question!

QOTD: 2008 -I had lapband in Nov 2007 so I was on the weightloss but miserable track, lol. Never got under 165 with the band, but was thrilled with that. In 2008, got my first full time job since i had my kids at a pharmaceutical company close to home. Kids were senior/sophomore in high school and my dad was alive, well and living with us. My husband still worked full time and we didn't know what to do all the money from 2 full time salaries. Haha - college for my daughter took care of that quickly.

B: 1/2 bagel, cored with jarlsburg cheese

L: going out! maybe a chicken cutlet parm

D: idk - as of this minute, I'm told I'll have a sink, stove and microwave today...:D :D :D

E: doubtful

L/V: on track

Good morning, Liz, and all.

Summer-mode begins today. To help put a little structure into eating, I am going to begin logging (along with calories, protein, and liquids) veg and fruit servings (1 serving = 1/2 cup). I have loosely logged them-but just to note that I ate some. Will not be counting the carbs or calories- just numbers-and see what happens.

My list (always for the day before)-

B. Protein shake

L. Turkey, asparagus, hummus

S. Greek yogurt, HB egg, cauliflower and baby carrots

S. Coffees w/milk, small # almonds, and the finger found the peanut butter jar (in moderation )

2008- My two boys were 20 and 22- either at university or working out their own "what am I going to do-be-become" lives, husband still working (now retired), and I was teaching all subjects in a one room school housed in a max. Security juvenile detention center. Also, (a tune many here know) 'Killing Me -not so-Softly with Food' in the key of "what the hell was I doing?", and pretending life was just fine.

Good morning all! And happy Thursday I just finished with my first session with a new nen's group at the jail. It went well! My afternoon session was canceled so I may get off early today.

QOTD: Ten year's ago I was a new mom. Rylan was only a couple months old and Nick and I were staying with my parents trying to figure out how the hell to be parents lol. I was applying to college, determined that unexpectedly becoming a mom would NOT lead to me giving up on my career aspirations. It did slow me down though! Took me 7 years to finish undergrad and get my masters. Ten years ago was a huge turning point in my life. It's funny to look back and remember how concerned I was. It all worked out .

B - Coffee & Protein shake

L - Yogurt & almonds

D - shrimp ceviche on a toasted tortilla

You did great! I became a Mom at 17, so finished high school, college and grad school afterwards over MANY years. Well worth it!
