8 days after surgery. Noticing marked soreness in all my large muscle groups. Haven?t lost huge amounts of weight yet (2.5 pounds), keeping my hydration and protein levels up (>84 oz and >75g), only doing mild exercise: walks around the park and my neighborhood. But my body hurts all over like I just had the most intense workout. I?m noticing it most in my gluts and triceps tonight.

Did anyone else experience this? Should I be concerned?

You've just gone through major surgery, and your body has a lot to recover from right now. I remember feeling a bit achy and exhausted very early on, especially when I did a lot of walking.

If in doubt, call your surgeon's office in the morning and see if you can chat with a nurse. Always good to check with the experts!

Sounds like you're doing great, aside from the soreness. Maybe the soreness around your incision site is making you walk in a strange posture and use your muscles differently?
