Well all ... Today's the day. I'm waiting for my ride to pick me up and take me to the hospital. I'm scared, nervous, excited ... READY.

Thank you to everybody on these boards for sharing their knowledge and experiences. This community is amazing for helping people prepare and then supporting each other throughout the journey.

I feel like I'm taking a step into the great unknown.

Congratulations! It's a big step, and totally normal to be scared and nervous. When I was laying in the bed waiting to go into surgery, I was sure that I was absolutely insane for making this choice. It has been one of, if not the best decision I have ever made for myself and I hope you feel the same once it is all said and done.

Thank you all for your support. Feeling really good. The first few hours were an experience in pain but after that I feel good. Finally get some ice chip. Now that the surgery is over I'm so excited about this journey
