It might be a good idea to get your body fat tested via DEXA scan or other reliable method. That will let you know how "fat" you actually are.

Therapy can also help if your brain is having trouble adjusting to your new body.

As for loose skin, the only real fix action is plastic therapy or compression garments.

I agree with the DEXA scan suggestion. At 146 lbs and all my loose skin (I've since had plastic surgery), I felt like I needed to lose another 10-20 lbs, but my DEXA scan showed my body fat percentage was 22% - which is on the lower end of the healthy range for women. So...140s was actually a good weight range for me. I wouldn't have guessed that...

I am 66 and went from 240 highest weight to 123 (about 128 this morning). I've had 4 c secs plus other abdominal surgery. As you can imagine,, there is some loose skin.

I have had Fit3D scans as part of my surgeon's protocol. My BMI is 21.5. I can tell the difference between loose skin, and loose skin that has extra fat in it. I have tried the body firming underwear, but its quite uncomfortable. And with clothing on, I look fine. But yes, I do see saggy-baggy elephant. And if I were young (or insurance might cover it), I would consider surgery. But at this point in life, after multiple chronic illness and major surgeries, and really can't justify it.

I do have two unworn, still in the package nice garments in a size small -- be glad to mail them to you to try

I was prepared for the saggy skin...I was not prepared for how it would make me feel after months of dealing with it. I, too, feel fat because of the extra belly skin...and I have a lot! I know that I would be 2 sizes smaller if I got it removed. After all the hard work, and still having that belly is a bummer. I'm working with my doctor to get a panniculectomy approved, it's the only thing my health insurance will pay for, since I do have issues with sores and rashes because of it. Hopefully sometime in the next few months I can get it removed! Fingers crossed.

My sisters think I'm crazy when I say I feel fat, because in their eyes I look skinny! But my besties who have both had WLS totally get it.

I still have more weight to lose, but I basically feel my body is a smaller version of its former self. Same rolls, same shape, same flab, just on a smaller frame. I remember my mother saying this too right before her beltlectomy (lower body lift). I'm lucky to have small boobs so not much change there, but yes even at goal I'd imagine under clothes I would still "feel" fat. But I'll take that over 376lbs any day.
