Can't stop snacking!

I've been snacking all day. At least it feels that way. Not even really hungry, just peckish and unsatisfied with my meals. It's frustrating and stressful because I'm calorie and macronutrient obsessed. I know it doesn't matter, ultimately, so long as I'm making healthful choices. But it feels like self-sabotage even if I'm not eating junk foods.

I don't even really have a question; just feeling frustrated and irritated with myself.

Are you seeing a therapist? At 3 months post-op, your resolve should be highest - the fact that you're self-sabotaging is definitely something worth addressing with a professional.

I don't regularly see a therapist at this time. Couldn't hurt.

Post-WLS life has a lot of challenges - there's no need to go it alone!

i was doing the same thing with nuts so i took those big containers and put them into small 2 ounce containers and i put them away and took them out one by one when i felt like snacking. Now i focus on eating one or two nuts at a time instead of gulping them down and i put the nuts somewhere hard to get so that when i reach out for them, they are'nt there. I normally lounge downstairs but i leave the nuts in the kitchen upstairs, in the containers

Trying to lose weight and change my lifestyle! My main goal is 220.

When you feel like snacking, ask yourself if an ounce or two of poached chicken breast or tuna sounds appealing. If the answer is yes, eat that protein. If the answer is no, you have head hunger and drink some tea or find something else to do. This mindset helps me.. Diane S

I used to be a very healthy esteat MO person before WLS. I ate the good foods, just too much, and too often. For my body it is what I eat and how much, and how often.

During my honeymoon time post op I was supposed to learn what to eat, how much and how often. These habits can became the very things that helps me maintain or even lose the few lbs of regain. As an MO I did not have healthy relationship with food. Having WLS was supposed to help me with that.

You may ask yourself what is going on. Why do you eat when you are not hungry. So early post op you may be making the same mistakes that helped you becoming an MO person.
