VSG February 4. I have not lost a single pound since surgery. I am following the plan seriously.

Walking daily. Vitamins. Eating according to plan. 60+ grams protein daily and drinking. About 1,000 calories daily.

I am so confused and frustrated.

Anyone else with this experience? I need help please.

I will call the program tomorrow but I cant be the only one?!?!

Maybe it would help if you post exactly what your eating to get the forum's input. I do know that at 20 days out I was consuming around 600 calories. I know it can be confusing and very frustrating, hang in there and post your menu:-)

Thanks.

Hi there.

How much liquid are you consuming?

I see a lot of unnecessary carbs and calories in your diet.

decaf latte 130 cal; 11 pro - 130 calories from liquid and only 11 protein is way too much.

cashew carrot ginger soup 150 cal; 2 pro - this does not need to be in your body. It's not going to fill you up, it doesn't give you protein, and it's just unhelpful calories.

yogurt & berries 132 cal; 19 pro - Yay for yogurt, but ditch the berries.

sweet potato soup 110 cal; 2 pro - this is not a useful food for your body and weight loss.

rolled oats 98 cal; 4 pro - If you need a snack, pick something that's high protein like deli chicken, not something that's just carbs.

melba toast 80 cal; 2 pro - Ditto. Ditch the melba toast. You should be focusing on protein and no-calorie liquids.

cream of broccoli soup 150 cal; 5 pro - Also not helpful for your goals.

Right now, you should be keeping your calories in the 600-800 range and getting 60-80 grams of protein and 64 ounces of liquid. The protein and liquid goals are minimums. You should primarily be consuming protein, and if you need to snack, your snacks should be protein based as well.

Right now, you should be targeting about 600 calories, 60+g protein, and under 25g carbs. Everything you eat should be at least 10g protein per 100 calories.

Oatmeal, hummus, melba toast, and berries should be completely off the table. You need to be eating lean, dense protein and dairy products, and that should be pretty much IT.

You got some great advice from Gwen and Sparklekitty, I agree, if you eliminate those items you will begin to see a big difference:-)

I was eating about 600 calories till the end of the first month, and it was difficult to get it in.

I can see why you are frustrated with all this; but post exactly what you're eating as well as your calories. And the percentage of your calories that your protein, carbs and fats are.

I use MyPlate on my phone, a free app, to track. Lots of folks you Fitness Pal (also free).

Hi! I had my surgery on Feb 5th, and it's been hard for me too... Lactose intolerance and acid reflux made it harder to ingest enough proteins the first week... I lost 12 lbs that fisrt week, and nothing else since then... Not an easy process!! Hope you'll find your answers!

What, exactly, are you consuming?

1000 calories a day seems very high for this soon post-op.

Agreed, calories seem really high! Plus how many oz of each? I don't think I have gotten over 600 calories in a day, not even once, even with a snack. I can eat about 2 oz solids, if I do a soup, maybe 3oz but NEVER more than 4oz of anything excep****er, (and even that is over time, just sipping).
