Newly sleeved 2/28 and wondering why I'm not having drinking issues!!!! I'm already drinking 2 shakes a day and a 20 oz of water with whey protein. I hope I'm not stretching out my new stomach already?? Feeling concerned!!!

not every one has trouble, I didn't. I was able to drink plenty right away cause the pyloric valve opens in the presence of liquids and they run right through.

You will feel the restriction as you advance your diet. Drink on!

You can't stretch your stomach with liquids :) You're one of the lucky ones who has no problems with liquids - yay! I was too. I was getting 60 grams of protein and 64 ounces of liquid from the day I got home from surgery with no problems.

Not to worry. Just wait until you can eat soft food. Keep drinking fluids! ds
