Well surgery is tomorrow and I can't get my rings off my obese fingers. Anyone else go into surgery with their jewelry still on?

No. I got mine cut off at a jeweler and later repaired.

It's really up to your surgeon. Ask now. You don't want to get sent home day of surgery.

I cut mine off the day of surgery. As my surgeon said NO jewelry or nail polish.

Remember your fingers will probably swell due to the IV's so if the rings are tight now they could very well become painfully tight after the surgery.

They will put tape around it to protect it. I've left my wedding band on during several operations. The pre-op nurses will take care it for you.

Thanks for the replies. They did cover my two rings with tape after scaring me half to death right before surgery about having to cut them off due to swelling. It turned out okay.
