Greeting ~ I hope you all are well. A special welcome to those who were joined the fun after Feb 2017! Just wanted to check in and update everyone on my journey!

All is well on my end Journey has been great! Only issue I am having now is bloating and gas! I pop Gas-x pills all day. Any other recommendations?

As previously stated in an earlier post. I snack a lot resulting in some weight gain. The scale hasn?t changed much but clothes fitting tighter. I need a solution on my snacking habits. Went in at 349lbs and currently at 225lbs, total weight lost is 124lbs. I just must stop snacking and I?ll be fine!

I do have some areas that I would like to target ie chest, and love handles. But as you all know it is impossible to target fat areas.

But in all honesty, I hope you guys are well. This journey can seem a bit hard at first, but it gets easier. My blood sugar is superb, no high blood pressure, no diabetes. I am grateful for this tool to assist in a healthy lifestyle. Just must stay the course.

Please chime in and let me know if I can help you on your journey! ?

Greatness is in you!

Have you spoken to a doctor about your bloating and gas? At 2 years post op, there's no reason it would be caused by the surgery (AFAIK) and it would be wise to get a medical input.

If you snack, make sure you're eating protein snacks. Get rid of the bad stuff in your pantry, and switch to stuff like cheese, lunchmeat, jerky, hard boiled eggs, and the like!

Drink more water, eat more protein, dont eat anything made with cereal, corn, wheat flour or sugar.

Four years out I still have the gas! From what I have read it has more to do with the high protein intake than anything else. I'd love some suggestions, too...but, for now, Gas-X it is! Congrats on doing so well...you're right, you have to get the snacking under control! It is a deal breaker!

2 years and 2 months out myself and feeling AMAZING! Went in at 243, current weight is 134. I don't snack, sometimes it is really trying not to. I still have bloating and gas. Also, having issues of vomiting with more than 6-7 bites of food, seeing GI doc for that and have had barium swallow, 2 EGD's and a manometry (definitely not fun). I have excess skin that I would like removed but since I don't have a large panus, will have to pay out of pocket. Keep up the great work!

Thanks for checking in! Get back to the basics for your eating and behavior. It will help you get back on track with your eating and regain. Do call your doctor and talk to them about the gas and bloating. May be something else going on not related to your WLS.

Stick around for great support and pay it forward
