I want to join in I am 49 and had my surgery 8 years ago. I had the DS and BPD

Nov. 14/2005 I have reached the 10 year mark and I am very glad I had this surgery and can live a normal life.

Hi everyone, I'm 42 and my insurance just approved my bypass surgery. I was told I'd be offered a surgery date beginning of next week. I'm excited and nervous!

How did the LBL go and what advice do you have for those of us considering it?

HW333--SW 289--GW of 160 5' 11" woman. I only know the way I know & when you ask for input/advice, you'll get the way I've been successful through my surgeon & nutritionist. Please consult your surgeon & nutritionist for how to do it their way. Biggest regret? Not doing this 10 years ago! Every day is better than the day before...and it was a pretty great day!

I just found this forum. I'm 42 and halfway through my 6 month supervised diet. I hope to have vsg sometime this summer. :)

I am 41 and pre-op hoping to get sleeved in the next month or so. I'm glad to have found this forum as for any of you who have already gone through a WLS surgery you can enlighten those of us still on this side of any issues that may arise due to our age group.
