Tri-calcium phosphate?

 My friend who had RNY about 3 years ago buys these yummy calcium chewies from Target.  When I looked at the label it listed the calcium source as tri-calcium phosphate.  I've never heard of that.  Are we RNY's able to absorb it?

Sorry, never heard of it. I haven't heard any dietitians or Vitalady recommend it either.

Actually, no body absorbs it very well, not even folks that haven't had RNY.  But RNY folks will not absorb it any better than we absorb calcium carbonate, probably even less than that.
