Hey all,
I know you guys are going to tell me this is normal, but I have to ask anyway.  Gina, you are going to get to use one or maybe several of your short-cut keys girl!

I haven't lost any weight for over a week, sigh.... I thought at this early stage it just slid right off for a while. I don't know if that was unrealistic, or due to surgery, shingles, and Real Estate exam stress my body is too stressed to lose, or because my metabolism slowed way down the 2 months before surgery because I was doing so much studying and not getting very much activity in, and haven't gotten that much in since surgery.  Or?

What do you guys think?

Yes, it is normal, and commonly referred to as a stall.  Have patience, keep up the protein, and watch the useless carbs  and you'll do fine.  Hopefully, you can get your activity level back up, as it's good for you in any case!

Normal!  During the entire second month I shed two pounds.  I cried and was defeated.  Then it got better.

Normal! hang in there - once you really understand in your gut the mechanism of your surgery, you will understand that these happen, and they go away. It takes a while, because it's such a mind shift from what our lives have always been, but you will do it!
