Hey All, Just checking in.  My new job has me hopping all day so I don't get to spend a lot of time online anymore.  My leg cramp issues are starting to subside...thanks to Diet Tonic Water (yuck) and Zero Cal Sport drinks (also yuck).  I have my 3 month check up coming up soon and I am really happy with my progress so far...I hope they will be as well.  Here is how my weight loss journey has gone so far.

You are doing a super job!!

My doctor told me about the Zero Cal Sport drinks also and I tried them for a little while, but decided they didn't help with the cramps.  Maybe I didn't try it long enough.  Mine aren't as bad now that I'm not walking/running every day.  I think I've gotten so used to the twitches I don't even notice them much anymore.  Glad that is helping you.

Keep up the good work.

Thanks Linda...I am having difficulty with them, they are just so darn sweet.  I end up cutting them with water 8 oz drink with 8   oz plain water they are a bit more tolerable that way but it takes twice as long to get in all the stuff they are purported to contain.  With the Diet Tonic Water...that works ALOT faster...but OMG it is soooo salty...and carbonated to boot.  I have to open a bottle and let it sit on the counter to release out some of the carbonation...I just can't seem to tolerate the bubbles...with that I take 8 oz at a time and flavor it with SF Raspberry or SF Cherry syrup...that way I only have to suffer thru 8 oz at a time of that nasty bubbly, salty tasting stuff....but we sometimes have to do things we don't like. lol

Lucy:

You are doing great!!!!  My surgery date was the same as yours and I'm only down about 37 or 38 pounds since then.  Whatever you are doing, keep it up!!!!

Hope the leg cramps subside.

Hey Suzanne,

Your weight loss amount is really the same as mine...it has only been 38 lbs since surgery...all the rest of the lbs came off thru starvation before surgery...lol...so I think you too are doing GREAT...

As for the leg cramps...I must suffer thru drinking nasty Diet Tonic Water everyday to keep them at bay.  Maybe when I have my labs done later this month something will be revealed and I can take a supplement instead.  Ya never know...in the mean time...I will drink the yuck...because I WANT THIS.

Keep up your own great work and stay connected....

Lucy

Hi Lucy,

The only thing that worked for me was increasing my iron. Almost instantly the cramping went away.

Good luck,

Lauren
