Unjury protein powder question

Does anyone know how far in advance you can make a protein shake/drink with Unjury powder and still keep the potency?

I would like to make some of my lemonade/strawberry powder drinks up a day or two in advance and keep them in the frig at work.  I've been making them up in the morning before work and time always seems to get away from me these days.

Thanks,

Susan

I believe they will keep a day or so if kept cool. What about freezing them if you intend to keep them longer?

I bet if you email them they can tell you.  they, more than any other company I know of, seem very concerned about how their products are used.  Temp of water, time of use with stuff like the cheese protein, and have been very responsive to request for information.

That being said, I don't mix anything ahead.  I take the powder, crystal light, etc and shake when I add the water and am ready to drink.  I will carry a mixed up drink with me in the car for later but that isn't but a couple of hours.  I can drink almost anything at room temp (but I'm not in your kind of heat).

Hi Poodle_Mom

We generally advise up to about 48 hours in advance -- provided your fridge maintains the contents consistently below 40 degrees.  That is the temp that many bacteria start to feel happier and multiply faster - causing foods to spoil.

If the fridge door is "busy" during a hot summer, you might try a couple of temperature checks of some of the liquids in the fridge.

The protein itself doesn't break down or deteriorate in any way.

And to answer the question about freezing, you can freeze the protein.  But some frozen dessert makers use other tricks to make them stay soft when frozen, so you might investigate that....
