The Christmas party at the lodge last night was a lot of fun. I had lots of aerobic exercise (dancing) and even kept my high heels on all night! I did change to flat sandals to walk home and my bunions are a bit sore this morning, but it was a good night. Picture with some friends below.

Tonight I am going with friends to the Venice Boat Parade, where boats lit up for Christmas come down the canal. I've never gone and I missed the canal cruise earlier this week so I'm looking forward to it. The weather the rest of the wee****il I leave Thursday looks mostly sunny and 80 so I should be able to get some good outdoor, healing activities in.

Have a satisfying Saturday!

  1. Within Range: 2.5 over
  2. General Wellbeing: 7
  3. 10,000+ Steps: 7376
  4. Fitness: stairs for laundry, nursing duty walking
  5. Self-Care: nada x2
  6. Fun: there must have been something... but I still can't think of it

Self care non existent and grazing on crap to self soothe leapt back in...after FOUR + years of healthy habits ! Not good ! I don't resent genuine care giving for DH but I DO find myself resenting all of the things he was supposed to do before surgery that I now have to do ( i.e. add threshold handles to steps into kitchen from garage, get the snowblower going, climb mini ladder to take town blinds, curtains, rods in preparation for new windows 12/16/19). DH is doing his part in recovery. He is up at least every other hour during the day, walkering and doing exercises in bed. Leap, knee replacement surgery is supposed to be so much more difficult, because of the whole range of motion thing. I HAVE to make time to get some exercise and plan in some self care.

Love you all ! Have to run....duty calls !

Do, do take care of yourself- I am here to tell you today that you are a most wonderful, special and important person; a miraculous piece of this universe and anything you ate yesterday for whatever reason does not define nor damn you Or destroy those healthy habits so hard fought for and won. I see you, and I know it must be hard and stressful- self care is looking for the good in the day and yourself. I think resentment feeds anger and puts one in the unreal world of "should be-should have been...". I send to you gratitude and joy in having you as my friend.

Yes, do take care of yourself! I seem to be an advocate for spending everyone else's money, but buy yourself some help. You deserve it. Screaming is enough of a demand, no matter how cooperative the patient is. You are worth it. Your health is worth it. Your food sobriety is worth it.

I am sorry you are dealing with so much. What tough timing for the new windows! I am glad DH is doing what he needs to to recover as quickly as possible. Don't beat yourself up - you've proven over and over that you can get back on plan.
