10 Years Out!
Sep 10, 2014
Ok, I have slipped a bit and gained back 60 of the 200+ pounds I lost. It started with knee issues, stopped going to the gym, knee replacement and inactivity followed. A few falls and then fear of falling. I keep telling myself it is just old age (over 60 now). I try to eat healthy, still limit my carbs and eat meat and fish. I drink 1/2 gallon green tea daily. This summer I started swimming again and I even cut the grass now. I have not had a carbonated drink in 11 years.
I had cataracts of both eyes fixed, so no glasses. I am now a platinum blond (no it is not gray!) I have no regrets with the surgery! Just a little disappointed in myself.
My only other question is: Does anyone have nighttime leg cramps? Not just the calf type by thigh, shins and toes too? Wondered if it was related to the surgery.

Otherwise I would still recommend this surgery for anyone overly obese. What a joy it is to feel "normal".
