Eliot Sieloff

"8/3/04 - My husband & I attended a WLS seminar held by Dr. Sieloff. We were very impressed with him. He didn't pull any punches in describing the procedure and possible complications. His presentation was very informative with detailed descriptions, charts & graphics. He also explained why MO patients have such a difficult time losing weight by more conventional methods but respond well to WLS. I spoke with Dr. Sieloff briefly after the seminar. I found him to be soft spoken and very personable. Also present were his nurse, Jodi and his insurance & scheduling clerk, Tracey. Both ladies answered all questions and made sure each participant had a copy of his informational booklet. My husband was \"reluctantly\" supportive before the seminar, but thanks to Dr. Sieloff, came out of it feeling much more comfortable with the procedure & my decision to pursue it. rnrn8/9/04 - I've submitted all my paperwork & letters of Medical Necessity to Tracey. She will file for insurance pre-approval. As soon as they receive the insurance approval, Tracy will schedule my first consultation with Dr. Sieloff. I can't wait! rnrn1/4/05 - Had my pre-op consultation with Dr. Sieloff & he was great! I aced his wls \"quiz\" but still had many specific questions and even though it was at the end of his day, he took the time to answer all my questions in detail. He never acted like he was in a hurry to go home (it was 6:00 pm when I left). rnrn1/28/05 - Dr. Sieloff did Lap RNY & gall bladder removal surgery on me on 1/25/05 and all went well. He is an excellent surgeon, very skilled but also compassionate and caring! I'm looking forward to working with him as I begin my new life!rnrn1-25-07 - Today is my 2 yr. surgery anniversary and I saw Dr. Sieloff for my \"check-up\" yesterday. He is pleased with my progress. I'm at my weight loss goal (100% excess wt. lost) and well below his wt. loss goal of 80% lost. He is still a very concerned & caring part of my weight loss \"team\" and I will continue to see him once or twice a year for life. Thank you Dr. Sieloff for giving me my life back!!"

Power Crunch French Vanilla Crème-(12 count box)

"These are the best tasting protein bars I've tried! They taste as good as a candy bar but have only 4g. sugar per bar and 14 g. protein. However, they are NOT lo-cal so I limit myself to 1/2 a bar for an occasional snack, or 1 bar if used as an "on the go" meal replacement. "

"The staff were friendly, caring & experienced in bariatric patient needs. I was given a private room instead of a semi-private at no additional charge even though my insurance will only pay for semi-private. They were doing remodeling on my floor, but the mess was kept in the rooms being updated. The halls & my room were clean & comfortable. My only complaints - there was a mix-up in the Respiratory Dept. & they took 2 hours to come hook up my C-PAP with oxygen so I could go to sleep the first night and that the roll-away bed provided for my husband was large & took up too much floor space when opened during the night, making it somewhat difficult for the nurses to reach my bed. Other than those 2 minor gripes, I was very pleased with the care I received."
