I stopped over on Saturday and visited with Carol...and all I have to say is WOW!!! She looks great. We visited for about an hour and it did not seem as though she was in any outstanding pain. There was the "normal" pain but nothing that she could not handle. She had good color to her and she seemed to be getting in all of her liquids or at least close to all. LOL I'm sure she will be on soon to up-date, but I will try to keep you posted. All of us who have already got to the other side...know best...we have great intentions to jump back on OH the day we get home but it takes a good couple of weeks. I will jump back on and leave a message of her progress after I call her today. Carols friend for life...Judy

I talked with Carol yesterday and she sounds great. She says that there was a small window of concern but after further testing and a little time...all turned out to be good, no problems. She says she is getting up and down with some comfort and is looking to come home. She sounded great on the phone and I only kept her on it for a few minutes. She said she slips in and out of sleep on people and that it might be interesting for the visitors who want to come see her later on in the day. LOL I'm going to the West side to see her today, so when I get home I will give OH an update. Thanks again for everyone’s thoughts and prayers...Carol is a wonderful person!!! Wow...(thought)...I wonder if skinny Carol will still be sarcastic!? LMAO Judy

I Said a Prayer of Healing for you -- body, mind and soul -- That God would bring you comfort to restore and make you whole. I prayed you'd be surrounded by His awesome love and healing, Dispelling all anxiety or pain you might be feeling. It is 1:20pm 1/31/06 and I just received a call from Carol's best friend, Renee...Carol is out of surgery and forever on the losing side. Yeah...I'm so proud, happy, excited, and relieved for her. I could go on and on, but I’m sure you all feel the same way. LOL Renee said, "Carol is in recovery now and that everything went GREAT! It took a little longer than expected, due to scar tissue from previous surgeries. But she did awesome!!!" This is all I have for now, but I will keep you all posted as I talk with Carol in the days to come. Thanks for the support of everyone on OH. Your prayers and thoughts were appreciated. Judy Merz

Best of luck to you tomorrow on your surgery day!!!!! I pray that you will have a quick, perfect surgery and an un-complicated recovery. Just follow your doctor's orders/instructions and you'll do fine. It's not so easy in the beginning, but it soon becomes a normal, easy routine and you'll love your new way of life!! Carol, I was just reading your profile. It really helps to know that others are in the same situation and facing the same emotions. I wish you well on your surgery and congratulate you for making this tough decision and grabbing your life back. I'll be joining you on Feb. 15th.
