16 hour shopping marathon

(day after Thanksgiving sales ~ WooHoo)
** 16 hour shopping marathon ** BECAUSE I COULD!!!!
Thanksgiving went very well.. Today my mother and I went shopping for 16 hours.. When asked why so long by my wife, I simply replied "BECAUSE I COULD".. My wife usually did all the holiday shopping because I usually could not shop longer than an hour at a time. And she was ok with that, it was just something she understood and she would do without hesitation or complaint.
Can't wait till the day after Christmas sales!!!

Today my NEW way of life starts!

Very content today. No worries what so ever. My wife knows how much I love her, she knows that I need to do this and how much better my life will be once I accomplish my goals using my new tool. My wife, mom and both brothers came in to be with me before surgery.

Got the call today from St. V's that I need to be at the hospital no later than 6:30am on Monday 8/15/05. Bowel prep must be started on Sunday by 9am (dose one) and then again at 3pm (dose two) and it is a CLEAR LIQUID only diet on Sunday.

final clearance has been given by the surgeon...

Got call today to confirm that all tests have been reviewed and my final clearance has been given by the surgeon...
**WOW**, talk about taking it down to the wire.... That was more stressful than any thoughts of surgery itself.. I almost wish they would have given me a surgery date AFTER all the final clearances were in.. If one thing would have not gone my way, surgery would have been delayed..
I am grateful to ALL who helped in this process.. From the nurses who copied all my medical charts, to the receptionist who must have been sick of me calling, to Dr. Hill for pulling strings to get me into cardiologist, to Dr. Chaban for staying to read my sleep study results, to Diane and Dr. Sonpal's office who submitted my paperwork and worked with me to get approved so quickly.. I can NEVER THANK YOU ENOUGH FOR ALL YOU HAVE DONE FOR ME!!!!!

Called medical supply company back and they said that they are still waiting for the insurance to respond.. Understanding that I had to have this, they agreed to issue me a loaner machine until the insurance decides. How cool is that...

Now my apnea has increased and they need to adjust my machine to new, higher levels before surgery.. Problem ~ my new settings are 21/17. The capacity of my Bi-Pap machine is limited to 20/15. Now what to do?? The medical supply company has to wait on approval before they can issue me a new machine. The insurance company will need time to review the case before approval. Now the problem is that I only have 5 days (3 business days) before I have to get ALL my clearances in. They have to sign off on the machine settings before sending in the clearance. I called and talked with them and they understood my problem, but they said they would have to wait for the insurance company.. ugh
