Low Iron (pre-op)

New member here. I've not had weight loss surgery, though I've been interested, as I'm morbidly obese. However, I've been battling iron deficient anemia for about 6 months. My questions are, did anyone experience this pre-op and is this a pretty common problem post - op? I'm worried I won't be a good candidate for any of the weight loss surgery options because of already having iron issues.
