Well...I grew up in a small town. I was an athlete. Softball, track, volleyball and basketball. I was healthy and in shape. Then I graduated 
. Now for the last 15 years I've been gaining weight. I've tried everything like everyone else.
Two summers ago I was at an amusement park with my girlfriend and our kids and I couldn't ride the rides with my son. He was almost 10 at the time. He was so disappointed and I was embarrassed. It was at that moment that I decided that I needed to get serious. Our daughter was about a year and a half at the time. I gained even more rapidly after I gave birth to her. Life must change.
My girlfriend, of 7 years, is pregnant now and due in May. This will be our 2nd together as my son is from a previous relationship and we only get to see him when it's convenient for his biological mom. I want to be there for my kids. I want to "fit" in with society.
Being a lesbian and being fat...two things for people to judge me on...I am making the choice to change the only one I can.
