RNY and Diabetes

Hello, I’m new to this community. I have been in a weight loss/diabetic program since January 2019. Surgery will be sometime in September 2019. I am having this surgery to eliminate my diabetes. Weight loss will not work for this as I have metabolic syndrome. The loss of diabetes is the entire reason why I need this surgery, the added weight loss is a bonus. 

Im wondering if there are any others out there like me in my position. I would like to hear from you. ????
