Chris "Thick-to-Fit" T.
I'm a 31 year old guy thats trying to figure out how to shed the weight for the last and final time... I've had success going from my heaviest of 345 pounds (2007/2008, college) to 245 through Nutrisystem. I graduated and quickly gained most of my weight back to be around 300 pounds. Since then I've gone from 300 to 260, 260 to 300, 300 to 225 (mediloss, appetite suppressant medicine program) back to 300.
I had looked into this surgery previously but decided against it as in 2001 my brother had Open RNY in Tampa and several days later he passed away due to a heart attack
At this point, I dont know if I have any other options. I cant really control myself in dieting I guess. With WLS it would give me the tool to constrict my intake, and obviously possibly introduce malabsorption.
Im curious about what happens and how life works for someone 30 years down the road when I'd be 60? Im looking into Mexico (assuming my insurance wont cover this), and curious about home side support, nutrition, etc.
I guess I'm just here exploring, for now.
