"I just wanted to say that I had gastroplasty surgery many many years ago...1998 with Dr Stephen V Hamn in Plano, Texas and he saved my life. He is an amazing surgeon and I highly recommend him. His honesty before the surgery advising that the success is only what I put into it was extremely helpful & on point. If you are thinking of having WLS I highly recommend Dr. Hamn...I haven't seen him since my surgery which was almost 25yrs ago, but I felt compelled to give him a 5-star review because over 20+ years later and I am doing extremely well and although eating right and working out daily is a life long commitment that surgery cannot fix, it has been an up & down cycle to some degree, but I've never come close to my heaviest weight which was approximately 350lbs at one point. The gastroplasty surgery & Dr. Hamn's advise that it was a "tool" not a "fix all" is what has keep me on track for almost 25yrs. "
