Chronic Fatigue

Nov 05, 2019

Had sleeve surgery 5/24/19 and still experience fatigue, tiredness, nausea, indigestion, get short of breath if I attempt any physical work, dizziness, feeling faint, blurred eyesight. Can eat almost anything [but lactose intolerant] but have to force myself to eat and drink. Bloods and thyroid all normal. No deficiencies. Have lost 50 pounds [23 kgs] with no exercise. I sleep very well but wake up tired. Anybody have this and when did it pass? Doctor has given me Venlafaxine medication [Australia] for fatigue [no I don't have depression] but have only been taking for 7 days so no effect seen yet.

Extreme fatigue and weakness

Oct 09, 2019

I'm female, 53yo, VSG 4.5 months post op and still have extreme fatigue and muscle weakness. Bloods normal, no deficiences. Had severe dehydration for first 3 months - just unable to tolerate anything. Am on a normal diet now e.g. protein, fruit, weet-bix, yogurt, but still can't eat/drink much. I still can't do any housework etc as I get dizzy doing small things and it seems I won't return to work for at least another month. Definitely not what I expected. Have lost 44 pounds [20 kgs] but through starvation. Hope I regain my energy back soon.
