I'm back.....

Sep 29, 2016

I had gastric bypass in 2009. At my highest weight, the day of surgery, I was 364 lbs...standing at 5'4. Within a yr of having the surgery, I lost over 150 lbs. At my lowest weight, 2.5 yrs out, I was 145 lbs...and miserable. I was rail thin, and I looked sick. Bones were showing in my chest....I was VERY uncomfortable, being that small. I made the decision to gain some weight. My goal was 20 pounds. I stopped working out, and ate foods that weren't good for me. My plan worked. I gained about 25 pounds and I was ok with that. Unfortunately, my health had other plans. I was diagnosed with Sarcoidosis of the lungs. I was put on steroids and we all know the main side effects of steroids....weight gain. Uncontrollable weight gain. I gained over 40 lbs. I am currently 200 lbs and again, miserable. Fortunately, I am no longer taking steroids, and can begin to get my life back. I want to lose the 40 pounds I gained. I figured this would be the best place for me to come to, since my journey initially began here. I met some really great people here, all of those years ago. I had a wonderful support system and I'm hoping I can find that again. My tool still works...I just have to use it.
