It’s been 3 months since my last post so in the interest of keeping any searchers informed on the process, I’ve decided to come back and update.

My surgery is scheduled for October 7th with Dr Starr at Humber River.

Orientation was January 29th. It’s been 12 weeks as I was told it would take.

The lady at the clinic was less than helpful. Wouldn’t look up my file and just said it will still be a few weeks and they’ll call me when I come up in the queu

So my orientation was January 29th. I’m part of the online support groups for WLS in Ontario and Humber River specifically. I’ve asked around and I can’t find a single person who had a December or January orientation who’s gotten an appointment

Finally had my orientation last week on Tuesday January 29th! It was interesting, but I already knew most of what we learned because I had read the book a few times and done a lot of research at home. Now it’s back to waiting for my next appointment.

I got the results from my sleep study that my family doctor referred me for. Turns out I have moderate sleep apnea and require a CPAP.
