Started full fluids today, had a quarter cup of plain oatmeal with 1/2 tsp of brown sugar, (only 2 gr of sugar) sat really heavy so didn't have anything other that a 8 oz of diluted juice, have manged to drink about 16 oz of water and have almost finis

I came home yesterday they checked my blood work at 6am surgeon was in by 9 and it was okay you can g home today. Same for my roommate.

I've been at the Optifast 2 weeks now and am really struggling with not eating anything, I'm down 20 pounds and at the back of my mind I think hey if I can lose 20 pounds why am I putting myself through this whole surgery thing.

Well it’s day 11 on Optifast, I’ve gotten used to the taste to some extent, and I seem to have worked out a schedule that doesn’t leave me hungry or have my blood sugar diving too low. I’m still taking Insulin with each meal and at bedtime but

Am I the only one who is saying goodbye to my favourite foods? I wasn't required to lose weight before my surgery, the main focus was to keep my blood pressure/asthma/diabetes under control, unfortunately I'm managing to keep my blood sugar numbers goo

Occured to me I'll be in surgery 6 weeks from now, I'm trying to cut down more on food, so maybe I won't be so hungry when I start Optifast in 3 weeks. Funny how when you read the different forums...
