St. Luke's Medical Center (COE)

"The hospital itself shows signs of age and economical distress. All of the admin/clerical and lab type functions are operated largely by an older staff of pre or post retirement age employees that supervise young and inexperienced Bryman School students. The admin and lab can actually scare you off from this dilapidated hospital, but the newly remodeled surgical center and WLS/Orthopedic recovery floor (8th) are top notch. It's almost as if the WLS business is a separate business functioning within the old St Luke's. Dr Fang is an awesome surgeon and if you want him, you have to go to St Luke's. So I did & my gastric sleeve surgery went just fine, no complaints."

Daniel Fang

"What can I say about Dr Fang that hasn't already been said. He's very intelligent, he's all business (hard to make him laugh), and he's a master at his craft. I found him to be very patient and willing to spend as much time as I needed when asking questions. At times I would call the office (pre-op) to ask questions of the staff and Dr Fang would insist on taking the time to talk to me and answer my questions directly over the phone (very rare these days). My surgery went off without a hitch. I was up and moving around that afternoon following surgery & I went home after only one day in the hospital. I felt about 85% by day 5 post-op, & I was back to normal within 4 weeks (sans the much smaller appetite and stomach)."
