Hi OH family,

Well, I have not always been over weight. I can honestly say that I have a normal love for food and it was not the root cause of my weight gain over the years. My weight gain came from inactivity. I have a sedimentary job and stressers in my life are the ultimate contributors to my weight gain. I had torn my ACL in my twenties and by the time I had it repaired I had lost damage my joint extremely. I was told by my surgeon that I would develop arthritis over time. Guess what? Over time is now. About 5-6 years ago, I hurt my leg again at work, which only made the arthritis worsen. Now that I have gain more weight the pain in my knee has become unbearable and this is the reason that I am seeking to have the VSG surgery done so that it can assist me with weight loss, which will elevate the pressure on my knee and give me a better quality of life.

My joints and bones cannot handle this much weight. I did not weight this much during both of my pregnancies but I am not willing to go back to pregnancy weight either. I look forward to what my life can be after the surgery and my weight lost. I would love to be the size I was when I first met my husband and he would too.

Before I end this might long passage about me I would like to add, that with a great support team you can accomplish anything you set your mind to. Here I come runway model (not!).
