I was a regular child, not fat, not thin! But my parents wanted me to dance ballet professionally and I just wasn't small enough for being a ballerina. This is in the 1960's in Iran at an English Performing Arts academy. They tried to mold me into being small! So I was constantly on a diet. I remember, whenever I got a chance I would run away from school and buy a donut from the corner shop!

I believe my eating disorder started then. Many things have happened since then that have continued to contribute to my over sensativity about my eating, one of which was my mother's obsession with my body and how good it should look. Every time I gained a little weight, she would point it out to me and make me feel very ashamed. She put a lot of restrictions on me and at the end I turned into a rebellious teenager, and proceeded to destroy myself through acts of defiance and going against the norm.

You can read more about me under my blog. I'm hoping that I can stay committed to using this tool as a method of support for my journey and looking forward in meeting you.
