Well its hard to believe that exactly 1 week ago today - and at this exact time - I was literally walking into the OR.

I wasn't nervous at all - which is kind of strange - but I was relaxed and ready to change my life and start living!

Great news...I'm being discharged!!! They would have let me go home last night but I said I would wait until today. The nurses said I was their favourite and the only one that followed the rules which is why I get to go home. Lol. I had some painful mo

Well that was interesting to say the least. Lol

the gas pain was really the only pain I had. It was unbearable at times in recovery. Way worse than when I got the lap band. 

Feling a bit better today. Lots of burps but no toots yet 😀

The day is FINALLY here!

I'm up and getting ready to go the hospital.

Check in is 8 AM

Surgery is at 11 am

Hard to believe the wait it over....seems like a dream!

I am not nervous at all :)

I was scared when the phone rang this morning - and it was TWH - I was scared they were cancelling my surgery

But - they moved me from 2pm to 11am same day!

I am T-7 days :)

I had lap band surgery in 2013 - and I used Gas X Strips to help with the gas, and I think it worked.

Do they let us use those after RNY or VSG?

I struggled with the decision to tell my friends and family of my decision to have this surgery.

I had my PreOp appointment on Monday - and all went very well.

My appt was at 7am - I got there early (just because you never know what to expect when riding on the TTC)

All I can say is - thank goodness I asked for Slimtime!

These shakes actually taste good - I don't even have to put any flavouring in them.

I remember how sweet the Optifast shake was that I tasted - I don't know if I could have done 2
