Mother's Day Gift

Today is mothers day. I was hesitant to take my measurements today as I haven't noticed much of a change. I didnt want to be disappointed and then not be happy about mothers day. But luckily I decided to do it anyway. I found that not only has my weight gone down a little more but also some of my sizes. 

Weight: 218.5lbs, Measurments: Neck 15", Chest 42.5", Waist 44.5", Hips 44", Thighs 25", Arms 14"

Gardening to lose weight

Not much has been going on. I started a job with a new company so I have been busy with that. I decided to do every other week measurements for the winter since we were not doing much of anything. 

Today we started working on the yard. I am adding a pond in the corner of my yard and getting the gardens ready for my vegitable's. We worked on the yard for several hours today. We still have a lot left to do but looking forward to it. We could feel that we were burning calories while spruceing up the yard. These pictures are from last year and this year. The one on the left is this year and the one on the right was gardening last year. What a difference a year makes.

They Fit

Yesterday I had to go get a physical for my job. Before I always had to wear the extra large gown. This time I noticed that I was given the "normal" sized gown. And it fit. I tried to figure out the size of it but the tag was worn off. I asked the nurses if they knew and none of them knew. I'm sure they all thought i was crazy for asking until i explained to them that I haven't worn the normal sized ones in ages and have lost weight.

Today after going back to the dr to have my TB test read we decided to go to the local thrift store. My husband suggested I see if I could find some pants that actually fit me since all of my older ones were falling off of me if I wasnt wearing a belt. i didn't feel up to it but he convinced me. He pulled out an 18. I said nahh no way i have droped from a 26 to an 18 already. He said humor me and try it. So i picked out a 20 just in case. I got to the dressing room and he told me to try on the 18 first. I think my jaw hit the floor. They fit! They were stretch jeans but never the less they actually fit!

Tough week

This week was tough. I started the week out with getting my visitor which causes me to crave chocolate chip cookies. i managed to not cave in to that. On Wednesday I locked my keys in my car so I could not get in my school van. I borrowed my daughters car and drove to the shop to borrow one of their stand by vans. That put me late which caused me to rush which set off the drive cam a few times. Than friday I get called in the office and told that I was fired. On wed. when the drive cam went off it showed me with something in my hand. My boss kept saying it was a phone i tried to explain to him it was gps and I was at a light which we just pulled from. I turned the screen off and went to put it in my pocket. Of course it didnt show, not that it would matter cause he kept insisting i was on my phone. So now I am unemployed. I caved in and ate a few things I shouldnt have which set my calories and carb's over my goal for the first time.

Nakie

Not much has happened last week so i didnt post anything. I have been having trouble with my measurements. Even though my weight is going down my measurements do not reflect that. I have tried to have my husband find a mole or scar or something to use as a guide so he measures the same place each time but for some reason its not working. This week I did my own and everything went down. One measurement went down so far i dont trust it lol. back to the tape again. 

We have figured out that we can not handle anything deep fried. 1st it was the egg rolls. This week we tried chicken tenders. It helped to dip them in ranch. 

We have also started a challenge. I think i lost my exercise partner but im keeping with it even though my legs are about to go on strike. lol 

TMI moments, I have also figured out that if i get on the scale naked I tend to lose 1-2 lbs. So i measure nakie now. Today I weighed in at 231.8 Afterwards I had to go to the bathroom and decided to step on the scale again. I was shocked to find out i lost almost 2lbs lol.

Just say No

This week we decided to go to the movies. We were going to go last night. We decided to order chinease food so we didnt have to worry about cooking. We got Shrimp chow mein and an egg roll. We each had half an egg roll and a half cup of chow mein. My hubby was hesitant on the egg roll as we had it at my moms a few weeks ago and it did not sit well in his stomach. We decided to try it anyway because this was a different resturant and the one we went to at my moms used a huge amount of grease. Anyway after just half an egg roll we both had a bad reaction to it. Hubby ended up getting sick. I just had the foamies and a very heavy stomach. So we have decided to never again get egg rolls unless we know for sure that it is baked. 

We did not go to the gym today as hubby had surgery on his hand. 

We ended up going to the movies tonight. And I must say i am proud of both of us. We bought a large popcorn (habit) but we only ate equivalent to a small. we brought our own water so we wouldnt have to drink soda or pay a huge amount for their water bottles. 

Now for the moment we been waiting for... well at least I have lol. This week I lost another 2.5 lbs. I am down to 236.5, my waist is down to 46.5", Chest stayed at 45.5", Hips stayed at 50.5", Arms went down to 14.5", Thighs stayed at 26", neck stayed at 15.25.

I just had to share this...

I have cleared the final stage which is normal foods. I can now try anything I want a little at a time. I have been hesitant on it though cause I don't want to slow down my weight loss. But I got tired of eating the same thing. 1 egg for breakfast, 2 oz of tuna for lunch, 1 1/2 oz of fish and 1/4 cup of veggies or starch for dinner. So we started searching for some recipes. I found a definite keeper. This is a bariatric, low carb version of pancakes and is absolutely delicious; even with nothing on it.

Full Foods Stage

I made it to the full foods stage. I was getting so sick of the same foods over and over again. But now I feel like im still having the same foods so that I can keep my carbs in check rofl. 1 egg for breakfast, 2oz of tuna for lunch, 1 1/2 oz of fish and 1/4 cup of vegitables or starch for dinner. 

Today I got to indulge a bit. I had a sm. greek salad and about 1oz of Baked Pastichio. Thats a greek dish similar to lasagna. It says there is elbow noodles in the recipie but I dont think this greek church puts them in. I wasnt able to eat more than two bites of the salad. Too much oil. But the Pastichio was awsome. and the mushrooms from the greek greenbeans and mushrooms.

I have decided to only record my weight once a week now that I have gotten to the last stage. I figured since I do measurements on sundays I could do weight on the same day. 

Weight: 239.0, Waist 47, Chest 45.5, Hip's 50.5, Upper Arms 14.75, Thighs 26, neck 15.25. My weight, waist, and chest has gone down this week. The rest stayed the same. I think some of it is not measureing in the same exact spot each time. So we are trying to find some kind of mark to use as a measure mark. Like a scar on my thigh will mark where to measure my thighs each week.

Pants on da ground

The other day I was walking up the steps again. I remembered what happened last week so i tried to hold onto my pants this time. I had to let go for a min to open the gate and down they went rofl. Im trying not to buy new ones yet until I have to since I know I will be going down sizes a few times. 

This week I have lost weight and inches. I love seeing the difference in my clothes as well as seeing it on the scale and on the measureing tape. Everyone says they see it in my face but I still dont see it unless I turn my head a certain way. Today the scale read 241.  My waist is now 48in, chest 47in, Hips 50.5, Upper Arms 14.75 in, Thigh 26 in, and Neck 15.25 in. Everything has gone down in inches except my arm and hips. 

I found an awsome recipie this week and we tried it. I can only eat about an ounce of it and that wrecks havic on my stomach. It is chicken breast tenderized and stuffed with cream cheese, brocoli, and cheddar cheese. I haven't figured out what is causeing the uneasiness and heavy feeling in my stomach yet.

Back in the Swim of things

Today my husband and I decided to finally go to the gym. I got the ok to exercise a week ago but the weather has been to cold. I thought I'll do some walking/jogging on the treadmill and then do some swimming. After leaving for my van run (I'm a school van driver) I realized that I forgot my towel. I thought well thats ok I can stop at the walmart and buy a cheep one. Than when i was just about to my first school I realized I was wearing boots, and of course I forgot my tennis shoes. i got the overwhelming feeling of just saying forget it I'm not going to go. But I pressed on and decided to look for a cheep pair of shoes so i could still go. After not finding anything I thought about going to the thrift store when my husband said why dont we just go swim. I agreed. 

I tried on a bathing suit I bought some time ago that realy didnt fit but I could squeeze into it. Today it fit well. I didnt have any trouble getting it on. I have always liked swimming but after having a fall that injured my shoulder I couldnt swim very fast. I decided I was going to try and push the shoulder a little today and see if i can work out the stiffness. I managed to swim a mile in just under an hour and half, burning about 1000 calories. I have never swam a mile in that short of time. Normaly it would have taken 2 or 3 hours at least.
