After a year and a half, started vomiting...not sure, but about October 2009-January2010 off and on.  Well, had a band replacement done January 2, 2010.  Doing great!  Gained a couple of pounds~about 5-10.  Not bad for not having any fluid in my band since December 3, 2009.  I go next week for a check up and will get my first fill with my new band.  I have a new doctor too, It's Dr. Taylor @ Barix.  He was the on call doctor the Saturday I couldn't take the discomfort.  He is wonderful as well as Dr. Nunn.  I'm down 125 pounds overall.  I hope all of you are doing well!!!

The 9 month appointment came a few weeks early, but posted it as such anyway.  Exactly 9 months tomorrow and I've already gotten to the 100 lb weight loss.  Feeling great!!! 

Just had our check up yesterday.  Hubby and I both lost weight!!!  He didn't get any fluid in or out of his band.  I got 1/4 cc of fluid taken out.  We have lost 26% of our excess weight.  They said at this point being just over 5 months out that we are doing great.  Right where they expect us to be.  Hubby is feeling good about doing this surgery.  I was worried about that.  I am really excited that I did it, now being 70 lbs lighter.  My mother-in-law bought me a pair of jeans with gems and butterflies on them.  She wasn't sure if they would fit, tried them on and they did, but didn't feel comfortable in them.  Yesterday they fit!!!  I call them my skinny jeans...  If I only lost 30 more pounds I would be happy, even though I want to lose 70-90 more.  It will all depend on how I look at certain weights as I get closer.  I just remember a picture I was 30 lbs from where I am now and I was happy.  When I ran across that picture I mentioned that I wished I was back to looking and feeling like that, almost there!  Can't believe it! 

Well, Down another 10 lbs.  I'ts great!  I have about 60+ more to go.  My first goal is the 60 more.  I remeber how happy I was without that 60 lbs.  let alone the 55 lbs. I have already lost.  I want to lose more than that 60 lbs. just to feel even better.  My hubby is doing well too!  He is having trouble eating certain foods, like bread.  If he waits too long to eat it will make him vomit.  I think it's him being a bit lazy, not wanting to fit something for just 1/2 - 1 cup of food.  He is getting sick of some of the foods he's eating, so I'll help him out there the best I can.  Our lifestyle is changing so much, we love it.  Wish the best to all of you out there too!

What a great day, Hubby and I had our 4 month check up and second fill today.  he is down 30lbs and 5 pant sizes and I'm down 45lbs and 3 sizes.  Nothing wrong with that!!!  Dr. said that we should be losing 1-1.5 lbs per week and at this point we are exactly where we should be post-op.  When we get a fill into our lap-band we have to do liquids for a day or two.  I ate at 8:30AM, appointment/fill at 10:30AM, not hungry until 4:30PM.  Drank about 8 oz. of milk and was full, it's now 8:15PM and still full....I'm lovin' this!!!  I love getting comments like Miss skinny, girl you are getting small on me here, and others...It's great to feel this way again!  Hope you all are feeling great too!  All the best to you!

Not bad at all.  Thought that it would hurt to have a needle stuck into the port throught my gut.  Just a normal poke.  A week after surgery hubby had two cc's of fluid taken back out of his band, he said it didn't hurt even a little poke.  This time some one else did it and he said he felt the poke.  We'll see next time what happens.  They said we had good weight loss @ the 30-35 lb mark and will see us back in October.

Hubby has been down in the dumps because our weight loss has slowed down.  I called Barix Clinics today, left a message, they got right back with me.  Wonderful People There!!!  The situation is exactly as I had explained to hubby.  We aren't on a liquid diet and our swelling is completely gone now, so when we get the fill next week it will begin to show a loss again.  I told him that we are doing what we should be doing since we are not gaining.  Well, we will update you after the fill unless something comes up before hand.  Good Luck to all of you!!!

Even though I haven't lost too much weight in the past two weeks, I've lost inches!  I've kept track of inches here and there.  I have lost a few inches along with 30lbs. now.  I bought two new summer outfits, just the t-shirt material matching shirts and shorts...What do you know?  Down two sizes!!!!!!!  I really can't wait to get the fill done so I can increase my weight loss.  Hubby told me that by the time his holiday company party comes around, if he has lost a considerable amount of weight he wants to rent a tux.  He said I know we will both have a large weight loss by January so I want us to splurge and go all out on this party with me in a tux and you in a fancy dress.  I am so happy he has a great outlook on what we have done here together.  I love him so much, he is a great supporter...

Since losing 25lbs. I've been able to get my clothes to fit good.  Some of the jeans I have were getting snug and I'd have to tug at them to zip them.  Then I would have a mark on my gut because they were tight.  Not anymore, those jeans have some room to move.  This past weekend we went to the movies, the fit of the seat was great.  I wasn't sure how 25lbs. would change that!  It felt even better to have both of these so soon.  My husband is fitting into all of his jeans, he only had two pairs, now he has his whole closet back!  His shirts even cover him properly.  Bigger shirts aren't always big in all directions, it seemed that they were only wider, not taller.  Today was his first day back to work, everyone noticed, were very supportive, and asked him questions about his surgery.  What a great bunch of people he works with...  Oh, the best one yet, his ex-wife said that she is jealous of both of us.  That she wished she could lose weight or had insurance that covered the surgery.  On that note, I can't wait until the pounds start melting off and she can start drooling.  She seems not to like either one of us much as you may tell.  We go for our 1st fill Aug. 5th, I can tell I need it already.  The swelling is all down must be, since I feel I could eat a little more than before.  This is when the work comes in.  After the fill I will feel like I did right after surgery.  Haven't gained any weight back, so I'm managing it pretty good.  Later All!

Hubby and I had our check-up and things are going well.  Dr. Nunn said we were kicking butt with the weight loss and to keep it up.  Right now we are both at a stand still, normal, because I'm not hitting my protein goal everyday and hubby was dehydrated from the first 5 days after surgery.  His band had too much fluid in it (they put some in during surgery).  He wasn't able to eat or drink without discomfort, felt like an air bubble in his chest all of the time.  No weight gain though!  We have our 6 week check up August 5th for our first fill.
