Sharon, I am 6 weeks post-op and I have been eating protien bars for 2 weeks. I started slow--started with the more squishy ones that didn't have nuts. I had lap RNY. I really like the Atkins Bars. They have the most protien and least sugar. Perosnally, I don't eat anything that has more sugar than protien. And alot of the protien bars have more sugar than protien. I haven't dumped with any of the protien bars. However, somtimes after sloooooooooowly eating them for over 30-45 mins, you get sick of the taste. The chocolate gets too gooey or whatever. But as far as taste, you aren't going to find any protien bar that taste like a candy bar. Good luck!
