~*~I SAID A PRAYER FOR YOU TODAY~*~ I said a prayer for you today And know God must have heard- I felt the answer in my heart Although He spoke no word I didn't ask for wealth or fame, I knew you wouldn't mind, I asked Him to send treasures Of a far more lasting kind, I asked that He'd be near you At the start of each new day, To grant you health and blessings And friends to share your way. I asked for happiness for you In all things great and small, But it was for His loving care I prayed the most of all.

Hi Barbie!! Great for you! You're a real inspiration! I had to write when I read about Catherine's in Sunrise Mall. I live in Los Angeles now, but grew up in Carmichael and spent many days at Sunrise Mall-saw my first "r" rated film there. Ha Ha! Continued luck on you journey!!

Hi Everyone, Well, I am now 6 months post op and feeling pretty good. I went from a size 32 to 24 and even my 24's are getting big. I've lost 85 lbs and can't wait to see what another 6 months does to my body. My stomach , arms and inner thighs aren't exactly beautiful but you can't have everything. The good news is that my feet don't swell, I can keep up with my family, and I don't break blood vessels in my legs when I walk, dance, or stand for long periods of time. My asthma (bought on my allergies) is completely gone. I'M SO HAPPY!!!!! So far I haven't really focused on a strict diet. My entire family kind of eats the way we always did, but when it comes to potatoes, rice, pasta, I can only handle very small portions. I don't deny myself any food I want, because I know that small portions won't hurt me. I tend to enjoy cooking more and eating less. My husband may be getting a raw deal because anything I don't eat, I pass to him. I need to stop doing that to him. My hair is falling out. Luckily I had a lot of it, but it is annoying to look down at your shirt at any given time and find many strands of hair. Any suggestions? 3 Weeks ago I went clothes shopping for the first time. We went to Catherines (Large Sizes) in the Sunrise Mall. Everything I tried on was a size 30 and was way too big. When I went to JCPennys, I saw a beautiful silk suit (size 24) and didn't even think twice about it. My sister suggested I try it on and I told her "no way, it will never fit". Boy was I wrong. I not only bought the outfit, but I am getting ready to pass it on to a friend because I wore it last night and the pants almost fell down while I was dancing. Yippee!!!!! My husband and son have been so supportive of me, I can't even tell you how great they are. Let me see.....Knowing that I will feel sick if I drink while eating, I do it anyway. Then they have to hear me complain that I feel nauseous......Knowing that I can only eat a small portion, when they dish out the food and I don't get as much as them, I give them a hard time.......Knowing that I am always shedding my hair, I constantly ask my husband and son to remove the hair stuck to the back of my shirt before walking into a restaurant, grocery store, etc......I really don't know how they put up with me, but I sure am thankful. I love them so much. I know I have many things I need to do. I want to get a medical alert bracelet. I want to get in the habit of taking regular protein drinks. I want to make wiser food choices. I want to get a workout buddy who is also a member at my gym (Family Fitness/Orangevale). I am recommending this surgery to just about every person I know who has weight issues that stop them from living a normal life and feeling good about themselves.
