I got the pleasure of meeting Tracy and her mom tonight while visiting the hospital (my consult w/ the surgeon) and she is doing wonderful. They were in good spirits and we had a nice chit-chat. Tracy is doing great and was able to eat some custard and liquids and has been walking when she can. Keep it up!

Dear Tracy I'm from Youngstown also and having surgery on 1/7/03. Good Luck. I'm going to Pittsburgh. I'm a firm believer that your frame of mind is the most important thing in getting thru this. Get a good thought and everything will go great.

I wanted to wish you well with your upcoming surgery. I hope that all goes well and that you are up and out and about real soon. I'll bet you are are doing a happy dance accompanied by a bundle of unwanted "NERVES", but don't worry be HAPPY! You are in my thoughts and prayers. Good Luck!

My prayers will be with you as you go through the surgery and recovery. May your strength be restored; your recovery be swift and your tender heart be renewed.

Best Wishes for a successful surgery and smooth recovery! Weigh to go! I just read another post from someone who just had surgery and the thing that hurts the most is their BACK. And it is PAINFUL, not just uncomfortable. THE LAST THING YOU NEED TO TELL YOUR SURGEON, BEFORE THEY PUT YOU UNDER, IS TO PUT SOMETHING UNDER YOUR KNEES TO TAKE THE PRESSURE OFF YOUR BACK!!! Time and time again folks are coming out of the O.R. and their back is killing them. It’s because you are lying flat on your back for hours on a hard surface. How long can you do that now? If the surgeon will just put a rolled up blanket under your knees this problem will be eliminated! Got It?... Good…. Problem solved. (Or at least talk it over with him/her).
