I SAID A PRAYER FOR YOU TODAY~*~ I said a prayer for you today And know God must have heard- I felt the answer in my heart Although He spoke no word I didn't ask for wealth or fame, I knew you wouldn't mind, I asked Him to send treasures Of a far more lasting kind, I asked that He'd be near you At the start of each new day, To grant you health and blessings And friends to share your way. I asked for happiness for you In all things great and small, But it was for His loving care I prayed the most of all. (unknown author)FROM MY HEART TO YOU ~*~Hugs~*~

Dear Christine, I understand your elation and your fear of your upcoming surgery (see my profile *grin). My surgery is supposed to be on Oct. 29th, so our dates are rather close. I will be thinking of your and praying for you! Looking forward to reading about how wonderful life is for you on the losing side. May God Bless you and have His hands upon your surgery staff and hospital. Hugs, Tammy

Christine, No one that I know likes pain. I have read many posts where post-ops had very little pain and no complications. IT is best to go into the surgery anticipating that there might be some, that there are meds to help, it should pass, and that you are gaining your health back... after all it is surgery that you are having. I did have pain, but I had the best nursing/surgeon care that I could have dreamt of... I used ice pack and heat packs to help... the meds are excellant, and I found that if I kept up on the meds, that it was all easier than waiting for pain to sneak up on me. I gagged on the barium solution to check for leaks~~ other than that no vomiting. Best wishes for your journey.

CHRISTINE~~ Thanks for the information about the vitamins - there seems to be so many opinions on the board, it's good to hear from someone who has "real knowledge". (although it may not be popular with some people who are trying to sell vitamins on this site....)~~BEST WISHES ON YOUR WLS JOURNEY~~ May the world hug you today with its warmth, and love.....Pray it whispers a joyful tune in your heart.....And may the wind carry a voice that tells you there is a friend sitting in another corner of the world wishing you well!~~
