Hi Cathy---I just read your profile. Last month I was 3 years post-op but I have just now found this site and joined. I understand what you are going through with the mental issues but believe me it gets better and better. For me I had days Ihad thoughts if I had done the right thing. But now after 3 years of not being fat I would not change a thing. The only mental issue I have right now is when I look in the mirror I think I still look fat. Everyone tells me I look great but after loseing 165#(I now weight 180#)I still want to lose more weight which causes me to not eat right at times. But the doctor tells me this too will pass. So hang in there and look forward to your new future.
