Lora, I am praying for you while you are recovering from your hernia surgery. It sounds like it was quite complicated, and I sincerely hope that your pain and discomfort will lessen every day. Angel flying in for a landing! Lora has undergone her hernia repair operation and is finally in stable condition, but she needs all the prayers and support she can get. Her duodenal switch operation was in October of 2002 and she has had one complication after another since then. The most recent problem was that she developed numerous hernias and her intestines were wrapped around her stomach. She underwent surgery to repair the problem two days ago and is currently at LA County Medical Center in a ward with 8 other patients. She has no telephone, no television, and nothing but pain to look forward to. I will be driving 2 hours one way to see her tomorrow. I am sure she would appreciate any and all letters of support from you her second family. PLEASE! I know how easy it is to forget about others but this lady has been through a lot and could really use some extra support. Yes, she has lost a lot of weight, but the complications have really made her unhappy. Your kind words would help! Thank you!
