His office was very crowded. I saw many "hopeful" faces there. I felt his office staff was very helpful and kind.
He and I reviewed several pages of information regarding the surgery and what to expect. I don't expect a "day in the park" and I appreciate his honesty.
As I have only had one visit with my surgeon, it is generally too early to form an opinion. I will state that I feel he is competent and I am ready to put my life in his capable hands.
Because I have worked with physicians and surgeons for over ten years, I am the first one to tell you that they are "human beings." As a patient, it is important that a doctor does not rush me out of the office and that he takes the time to return any phone calls (or allow an RN to return them) within a reasonable amount of time. Ultimately, surgical competence is most important but compassion is definitely second on my list."
