Congratulations on your upcoming surgery and your new lifetime journey on the losing side. Right now you are probably on a rollercoaster emotionally - excited, nervous, scared.... This is normal - don't let it freak you out. Take the time over the next few days and 'center' yourself mentally - focus your mind on other things and keep yourself physically busy too. You will find that your big day will be here in no time and you will be calm and ready for it. We will be here ready to welcome you over to the losing side and support you in your journey. Cathy I wish you nothing but the best. Dr. Alverdy did my surgery in 1999. And he is the best. His nurse Kim also deserves her praises. I know that everything will go well. Will keep you in my prayers.

Best of wishes, Cathy, on your upcoming surgery ... 3 weeks and counting!!!! Dr Alverdy performed my surgery on 4/12/04. I have nothing but praise for him and his entire staff! Feel free to email me if you have any specific questions or concerns!

Good luck with your surgery. I had mine at Univ. of Chicago hospitals and all went well with no complications. Hope yours goes well also.
