Well I've made it 4 weeks now!!! I must say I am feeling better. There are still some concerns. Those of you on any type of anti-depressant medication should check about your protein level with your doctor before surgery. It just so happens that the medicine I am on doesn't work if I don't get a least 72 grams of protein in a day. I didn't find this out until after 2 weeks post op and I was very frustrated to say the least. It has been quite a challenge but I am getting my protein up there and my medicine is working better for me now. Those first three weeks were really hard. I didn't even want to get out of bed in the morning!! Thanks to all of you who posted messages, the encouragement helped a lot during that time. Take care and good luck to all!

It won't be long for you now. I can not promise that this is an easy thing, But I can tell you. It is worth it. My life has changed so much since my WLS on June 20th, 2001. I am down 130 pounds. I feel 20 years younger and my husband Ed and I can do so many things together now. I no longer sit and watch on the side lines. I am again a part of my family. That is what makes it worth it, the discovery of life again. Good Luck to you. Heal fast the world is waiting on the new and improved you.
