Here's some links for low carb stuff. One has a chat room and a forum for additional information. The Ketogenic diet is just like Atkins and based on low carbs. Personally, I could not have more than 10 grams per day or my ketones dropped really low. I guess my body is more resistant. Best of luck to you. http://wilstar.com/lowcarb/theplan.htm http://www.atkinsfriends.com/index.html http://www.lowcarbluxury.com/ http://www.carb-lite.au.com/index.html http://www.davedraper.com/ketogenic-1.html http://homecooking.about.com/cs/lowcarbrecipes1/?once=true&

Hi Janice, I just wanted to let you know that Atkins has a great website that has recipies and all kinds of helpful things. You can do a journal, shopping list, lots of things. It is http://atkinscenter.com and I think it can help you alot. Hang in there kiddo, You can get back on track, God bless, Laury

Hi Janice. I read your post today concerning Lupus and wls. I have autoimmune disorders too; for sure crohn's disease and suspected Lupus. I had wls last August. My weight loss has been a bit slower than others--but it seems to have made a difference on the joint pain and digestive problems I experienced prior to surgery. But, I've noticed my joint pain increasing lately, and I've been breaking out with sores in my mouth and nose (again) and sores all over my head, arms and rear-end (again). I've missed four days of work because of feeling so yucky (again). I'm hoping a flare-up isn't starting all over---how have your symptoms been? I know the steroids can cause difficulty with weight-gain, but I'm wondering, would keeping a detailed, written list of all consumed foods help you manage? Just an idea. Please, if you like--keep in touch. Sincerely, Lori Ann
